What to Expect

First Visit

One of the important aspects of the first visit to our clinic is the thoroughness of the consultation and examination.

We are committed to making sure that we have the most accurate diagnosis possible so that our patients receive the most appropriate care to facilitate healing.  Each patient receives an in-depth consultation, during which health information will be gathered, followed by a detailed examination of the area(s) of complaint.

The examination will consist of palpation (feeling the muscles for abnormalities), range of motion testing, posture analysis, foot analysis, various orthopedic and neurological tests, along with surface EMG and thermography testing which analyzes the nerves and muscles.

If indicated, an acupuncture examination using state of the art meridian testing will be performed as well.

If a patient has pain, appropriate therapies may be applied to reduce pain, stiffness or swelling.

Second Visit

At the second visit - usually the following day - the patient is given a review of findings, during which the results of the examination are explained in detail, along with the recommendations made for treatment. The first treatment is usually performed following the review of findings. At this point Dr. Bradham delivers the healing power of the chiropractic adjustment. Additional therapies may be provided as well, including electrical muscle stimulation, intersegmental traction, ice/heat packs, and/or ultrasound treatment.

Typical Visit

The typical office visit at Bradham Chiropractic will last about 30 minutes.
